Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Golf Director or in his absence, the Assistant Golf Director, the Golf Course Assistant II performs all the duties of Golf Assistant I. In addition, is responsible for the administration of the Volunteer program, assisting with social media - IT activities, and other activities related to running a golf course Pro Shop.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for booking individual, group and tournament tee times using a “Point of Sale” system.
• Responsible for checking in customers with reservations or “walk-in” customers.
• Responsible for opening and closing Pro Shop depending on assigned shift.
• Responsible for preparing opening banks for Pro Shop and Snack Bar if assigned morning shift.
• Responsible for counting previous day’s receipts and preparing Treasurer’s deposit form if assigned morning shift.
• Responsible for counting end of day cash and preparing closing reports in Pro Shop if assigned afternoon shift.
• Responsible for making sure course is clear of players before closing the course.
• Responsible for making sure facility is properly secured and locked before closing the course.
• Responsible for keeping Pro Shop clean by vacuuming each day and generally dusting.
• Responsible for merchandise appearance on racks and shelves and restocking as needed.
• Assists in receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Assists in Volunteer scheduling and training.
• Assists in Tournament operations such as cart staging, adding cart signs and scorecards and setting out proximity markers.
• Assists in the Junior Golf program.
• Assists in keeping all social media current.
• Assists in Snack Bar operations when necessary.
• Communicate with Starter regarding additions and deletions to Tee Sheet.
• Communicate with Player Assistant regarding “pace of play” on the course.
• Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all patrons.
Education & Experience
• Must have High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
• Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record past three years
• Must be willing to submit to a drug test, if requested.
