Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Sheriff or his designee is responsible for performing work of considerable difficulty in Records, and performs related work as required or assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
• Responsible for preparing Departmental reports for County Attorney
• Preparing NIBRS Crime reports on time and accurate
• Preparing and distributing Public Information requests to include dispatch recordings
• Preparing agency requests for background checks
• Sending out background requests for this agency
• Redact reports, written and video
• Any other duties assigned by the Sheriff or his designee
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for tracking, disseminating, and preparing departmental reports, and preparing those reports for statistical reports
• Processing Public Information requests approved for release
• Prepare statistical reports as requested by this department and for NIBRS
• Performs various clerical tasks
• Maintain records
• TRACS citations, written warning, tow sheet and ADOT Crash Report downloading and data entry into Spillman. Handwritten citation and written warning data entry into Spillman
• Work with multiple agencies such as the County Attorney’s Office, Deputies, Detectives or Public Information Requests needing copies of recordings
Education & Experience:
• Three (3) years of experience of progressively responsible administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
• No felony convictions
• Valid Arizona Driver License
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:
• Considerable knowledge of moderate office practices, procedures, and office equipment
• Considerable knowledge of business English; spelling, punctuation, and grammatical usage
• Working skill in the use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel and other office equipment and machines and related software
• Considerable knowledge of Legal terminology
• Analyze, prepare, and interpret reports
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with employees, other agencies, and the public
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Reliable, responsible, and capable of working with minimum supervision
