DeKalb County Government seeks an innovative and strategic leader for WorkSource DeKalb. This role is pivotal in aligning WSD's strategic vision with operational execution, fostering partnerships, and driving continuous improvement in workforce services.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following key responsibilities:
- Organizing, prioritizing, and assigning work activities in order to meet objectives
- Overseeing daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery
- Developing and managing departmental budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources
- Leading the design and implementation of programs that meet community needs
- Establishing measurable goals and objectives to drive performance and accountability
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funding sources to enhance resource development
Are you the one?
To be considered, candidates must have the following:
- EXPERIENCE WITH THE WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT (WIOA) REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration or related field required (Master’s degree preferred);
- Eight years of progressively responsible experience in business administration, public administration, human resources, or project management work; with three years of management experience for comparably sized organization or as a deputy director for a smaller organization
